One Million Friends!

With great excitement, the team is pleased to announce that Friends Against Scams has reached 1,000,000 Friends!

Since launching Friends Against Scams in 2016 and setting the goal of one million Friends shortly after, the initiative has grown and expanded into so many different areas, all with the goal of spreading the scams awareness messaging. Whether you’ve taken the session to become a Friend, registered as a SCAMchampion or Scam Marshal, used the Young Friends materials, became an organisation or joined Utilities Against Scams ?" all of this support is what’s helped us reach this target.

Thanks to the work of each and every one of our partners and supporters, over 1,000,000 people are now able to spot the signs of scams and potential victims, and know where to report a scam and get help.

Paul Scully MP (below) has joined Friends Against Scams as the newest SCAMbassador, just as the initiative reaches its one million Friends target. Paul was announced as SCAMbassador at the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) conference on 16th June 2022.
