Doorstep Crime Awareness in 14 languages!

Imagine being approached at your doorstep by someone who seems trustworthy—perhaps a tradesperson or official—only to later realise you’ve been deceived. For many of us, this might feel like an unfortunate scenario, but for situationally vulnerable individuals, such as the elderly or those living alone, it’s a stark reality.
Doorstep crime preys on trust and isolation, they might turn up saying that there's a loose tile on your roof and for a small amount of money, they can fix it. Soon, the costs are increasing as this seemingly honest workman will claim to 'discover' new issues with your roof and and ask for more and more money.
Age UK have revealed that 85% of victims are over 65. Worse still, scams, including doorstep fraud, cost UK consumers a staggering £9.3 billion annually, according to Citizens Advice. It’s not just money lost—it’s confidence, independence, and peace of mind.
But there’s hope. Together, we can be part of the solution.
