Local Adult Social Care department: each Local Authority has a form of contact centre that anyone can contact to raise concerns relating to abuse or request a social care assessment. Please contact your local council office for details.

Action Fraud: If you become aware of a scam or the occurrence of door-step crime in your area contact 0300 123 2040 or to report on-line www.actionfraud.police.uk.

Police: if you become aware that a crime has taken place or will be committed please contact 101 to report the crime or in an emergency contact 999.

Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline: to report a scam or doorstep crime, gain practical and impartial advice on the matter, advice on the law surrounding the issue and if appropriate pass the information to a local Trading Standards Officer. Contact 0808 223 1133 or visit www.citizensadvice.org.uk.

Age UK: provides a range of advice and support services for people in later life on a number of issues including health, housing, benefit maximisation and access to befriending services. Contact- 0800 678 1602 or visit www.ageuk.org.uk.

Citizens Advice Bureau: as well as running the consumer helpline the Citizens Advice Bureau provides advice on a number of problems including money, benefits, housing and employment issues. Contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau for more information. In order to find your local CAB you can visit www.citizensadvice.org.uk and use the branch locator tool.

The Telephone Preference Service: This is the official service that allows people to opt out of receiving unsolicited marketing and sales calls. The service is free and all organisations are legally bound not to contact people that have registered to this service unless consent from the person has been given .
