How Can I Get Involved?
Anyone can be involved in Friends Against Scams no matter what your background is or your age. Friends Against Scams welcomes people from all walks of life to "Take a Stand Against Scams". Don't worry if you think you don't know much about scams as the awareness sessions will give you all the information you need.
Friends Against Scams
If you would like to be a Friend Against Scams you can attend a short awareness session in
person or complete the online training.
After this session you will be asked to start taking action to "Take a Stand Against Scams". This could be by talking to your neighbours, friends or family about scams or writing to your local MP asking them to promote scams awareness by delivering key messages to prevent people from being scammed. For more ideas of what you can do as a Friend, take a look at the 'Friends' Pledges' on the 'What is Friends Against Scams?' page.
SCAMchampions are Friends Against Scams who want to do more. SCAMchampions host awareness sessions to recruit Friends and drive Friends Against Scams forward in their communities or workplace. SCAMchampions attend an additional session to give them a fuller understanding of the laws surrounding scams and some presentation tips.
