Tackling Economic Crime Awards 2022
The Tackling Economic Crime Awards (TECAs) are open to anyone working in the UK - operating in the public, private and third sector. The awards recognise and reward individuals, teams, initiatives and companies involved in tackling different areas of economic crime.
In 2020 and 2021, the National Trading Standards Scams Team won the Outstanding Prevention Initiative award for the Scam Marshal initiative and Call Blocker Project respectively.
The TECAs are designed to recognise excellence and innovation in tackling all areas of economic crime from those working in the private, public and third sectors. This year saw a bumper number of entries and the 17-strong independent judging panel had no easy task in reviewing the many nominations.
In 2022, the team have been nominated for awards in two categories:
- Outstanding Team - Scams Team
- Oustanding Prevention Initiative - Friends Against Scams
